Hospital quiet hours are from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. every day. Specific departments may have different visitor requirements.

Visitor guidelines:

• ICU – visitors are required to check in at the nurses’ station to ensure their loved ones are able to receive visitors
• Women’s Services – One care partner is encouraged to stay overnight. No children overnight. Children under the age of 12 are not allowed to visit unless they are the child/sibling of the patient.
• Labor and Delivery – Three visitors/care partners are allowed at the bedside during labor and delivery. Switching out visitors is not permitted. No children under the age of 16 are allowed during labor and delivery.

In addition to cardiology care services, we also have a dedicated Heart & Vascular Center. Our center has its own wound care clinic and cardiac rehabilitation program for patients in need of recovery support. 

Services we offer include inpatient cardiac and vascular consultations, outpatient cardiac and vascular clinics on-site, cardiac catherterization, vascular angiography, cardiac echo, nuclear stress testing, coronary CT angiography, vascular ultrasound testing, hyperbaric chambers for wound treatment and exercise stress testing. Our center also has its own imaging and lab services on-site.

Berkeley Bistro and gift kiosk

The Berkeley Bistro offers healthy entrée options, hot coffee and quick snacks. Our gift kiosk, located inside the Berkeley Bistro, offers a variety of items including snacks, toiletries, magazines, cards, flowers and gifts for our newborn patients and their mothers. Flowers may be ordered for delivery to patient rooms.

The Bistro is closed from 10-11 a.m. and closes for the evening at 7 p.m. except Saturday and Sunday closure is at 3 p.m.

Palmetto Market

Located inside the Berkeley Hospital Medical Office Building, Palmetto Market is a 24/7 café which offers handcrafted drinks, fresh food, grab-and-go items and a personalized experience tailored to our teammates, patients and visitors.  

Our market features:

• A full-service Starbucks coffee shop and barista from 6 a.m. - 2 p.m.
• 24/7 access to hot-and-fresh coffee and self-serve options
• Fresh, grab-and-go food meals, snacks and beverages
• Flowers and gifts
• Toiletry items, some over-the-counter medications and more

Our interfaith chapel is located on the first floor in the main lobby and is open 24 hours a day for prayer and meditation. Special services, usually led by the hospital chaplain, are held in the chapel at various times throughout the year. A monthly grief support group, led by the hospice chaplain, is also held in the chapel.

For Roman Catholics, Eucharistic ministers regularly bring communion to patients who have indicated that they are Catholic upon admission to the hospital. 

For all patients, regardless of faith, support is available through the chaplain who will accommodate your religious/spiritual needs when possible or contact a member of your faith group on your behalf.

Our Pastoral Care Office is located next to the chapel. You may contact the Pastoral Care Office directly for your religious and spiritual needs. Patients and their loved ones may also ask their nurse to contact a chaplain for them.
