  • Building centers of excellence: We are creating centers of excellence in cancer, cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, rehabilitation and women's health. Your investment will expand our ability to provide outstanding, close-to-home, specialized care.
  • The Center for Healthcare Excellence and Innovation: We’re redesigning the healthcare model to better serve our community. The Center for Healthcare Excellence and Innovation will serve as a central hub to create the Hospital of the Future, a Center of Nursing Excellence, and a Center for Professional Development.
  • Attracting and retaining industry-leading caregivers: The foundation of our healthcare excellence rests on attracting and retaining industry-leading caregivers.

Expanding, modernizing, even relocating the facilities you need — and deserve — is a crucial step toward building the healthcare system of tomorrow:

  • A destination for clinical care: We aspire to be a destination for clinical care, with multiple state-of-the-art settings across the region.
  • The largest and most advanced hospital on the East Coast: Our new 320-bed hospital medical campus on 27 acres in North Charleston will be among the largest and most advanced on the East Coast.
  • Expanded care in your neighborhood: Our expanded carewill include a 60,000 square-foot ambulatory site in Mount Pleasant and a new medical complex in the heart of Summerville.
  • Enhancements and renovations: We will continue to enhance and renovate our Berkeley, Bon Secours St. Francis, and Mount Pleasant hospitals to bring the best care for all.

  • Community health excellence: Creating a Community Health Center of Excellence and Innovation is central to our vision to reduce health disparities.
  • Greer Transitions Clinics and the Mobile Health Program: Our work is anchored by the Greer Transitions Clinics in North Charleston and Berkeley County, along with our mobile health program, which will bring care to at-risk, rural and vulnerable populations.
  • Creating the workforce of tomorrow: Nurturing our existing workforce, in concert with building the workforce we need for tomorrow’s challenges, will ensure our teams are able to provide quality care for our patients.
