On our awards and recognition

A kind word or heartfelt thank you can mean a great deal. Recognize a caregiver who made a difference in your experience and celebrate the people behind exceptional care.
Our teammates are incredible people. Most of them would tell you that they’re just doing their job, but we think they’re awesome and should be recognized. If someone at Roper St. Francis Healthcare made a difference in your life, here are a few ways to show your appreciation.
Recognize a nurse for their expertise and compassionate care or for being an outstanding role model.
Thank a non-nursing teammate for going above and beyond to provide extraordinary care.
Let your caregiver know you appreciated his or her service by sharing your story with them.

DAISY is an acronym for “Diseases Attacking the Immune System.” The DAISY Award recognizes the extraordinary work nurses do every day. J. Patrick Barnes’ family established the award in his memory to honor the highly skilled and caring nurses who aided him (and them) in his battle against idiopathic thrombocytopenia purpura (ITP).
DAISY Award honorees personify Roper St. Francis's remarkable patient experience. These nurses consistently demonstrate excellence through their clinical expertise and extraordinary compassionate care. They are recognized as outstanding role models in our local and international nursing communities.
Any teammate, patient or family member may submit a nomination.
The “Be Exceptional Everyday,” or BEE Award is a complementary program to DAISY and is essential to honor those teammates who are in non-licensed roles that provide compassionate care to Roper St. Francis Healthcare’s patients every day. Teammates that can be recognized through BEE might include: physical therapists, dietary staff, administrative staff, lab technicians, imaging staff, housekeepers, transportation aides or nursing assistants, among the many important non-nursing roles that play a critical role in our healthcare system.
Any teammate, patient or family member may submit a nomination.
Our Honor a Caregiver program is an opportunity to let your caregiver know you appreciated his or her service by sharing your story. Our entire team of caregivers, from physicians and nurses to those behind the scenes, is committed to delivering the best care possible to everyone we serve. Once you share your words with us, we'll make sure that your caregiver sees it. Your words of gratitude will mean the world to them.
Any teammate, patient or family member may share their story.
