Mobile Health Program

We provide screening services for:

• Blood pressure 
• Blood sugar
• Cancers including breast, prostate, colon, and skin cancer (when providers are present)

We provide HIV testing when our partners from the Roper St. Francis Health Service Center are on-site.

We help with women’s health education and services around:

• Cervical cancer screening (pap smears)
• Mammogram scheduling and health education
• STI testing/treatment

We offer Primary Care services for people ages 18 and up including:

• Preventive & Wellness Care Services 
• Health Education 
• Referral to Care Coordination 
• Access to Patient Support Services 

Yes. We welcome the opportunity to bring our services directly to churches and faith-based organizations in the community.

Yes. We are able to attend health fairs, community gatherings, and other special events to provide screenings and health education.

Individuals must be at least 18 years old to receive services of the Mobile Health Unit.

We provide basic primary care services, including preventive screenings, health education, and referrals.

For safety reasons, only two people are permitted to ride on the unit at a time.

Yes. We actively partner with community organizations, healthcare practices, and local agencies to expand our outreach and maximize the impact of the unit in the community.

Not always. Many locations are walk-in friendly, but scheduling in advance helps us serve more people efficiently. Call (843) 402-CARE (2273) to make an appointment.

Some screenings and preventive services are free or offered at low cost. Other specialized services may have associated fees, which will be explained in advance.

Starting in 2026, we will begin billing insurance, and uninsured patients will continue to receive services at no cost. These changes only apply to the Monday through Thursday clinic and not to one-off events where the mobile health unit is requested, unless special services are needed that require diagnostic workup or lab work.

Yes, insurance may be accepted for certain services. Please bring your insurance card if you have one. Sliding-scale or no-cost options may also be available depending on eligibility.

Please bring a photo ID, any insurance information, and a list of current medications or medical history if available.

In rare cases, delays or cancellations may occur. We work to notify community partners and post updates as soon as possible.
