Getting the right diagnosis is the first, and one of the most important, steps in your care journey. Sarcomas can sometimes be difficult to identify because their symptoms resemble those of common conditions, such as injuries or infections.
Your care begins with a comprehensive evaluation. We take time to understand your symptoms, medical history and any risk factors, followed by a physical exam. Our team uses advanced imaging and specialized testing to better understand your tumor, enabling us to approach treatment with precision and purpose.
Your evaluation may include:
- Expert pathology review
- Genetic and molecular testing when appropriate
- Image-guided biopsy
- MRI, CT or PET imaging
- X-rays to identify abnormalities in bone or surrounding tissue
