Prostate cancer can present in different ways and understanding your specific diagnosis is key to choosing the right approach to care. 

We treat prostate cancer across all stages and levels of risk, including:

  • Early-stage, localized prostate cancer 
  • Intermediate- and high-risk prostate cancer 
  • Locally advanced prostate cancer 
  • Metastatic (advanced) prostate cancer 
  • Recurrent prostate cancer 

We also evaluate elevated PSA levels and other prostate-related concerns to determine whether cancer or another condition may be present. If something needs further attention, our team will guide you through next steps and help you understand your options.

Full continuum of care

Prostate cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers in men. And because it often develops without symptoms in its early stages, screening and early detection are important for identifying it when it’s most treatable.

If your prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test or digital rectal exam (DRE) is abnormal, you may need to undergo additional diagnostic testing, including:

  • Biopsy to analyze a tissue sample for cancer cells. Our targeted biopsies use UroNav technology to combine MRI and ultrasound images, helping improve accuracy and guidance.
  • MRI imaging to get detailed and clear images of the prostate, helping identify suspicious areas and guide diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Transrectal ultrasound to create images of the prostate, allowing your doctor to evaluate its size, shape and any areas of concern.

With this information, we can confirm your diagnosis and begin planning the most appropriate care.

Your treatment plan is based on your specific diagnosis, your overall health and what matters most to you. In some cases, prostate cancer grows slowly and may not require immediate treatment. Instead, your doctor may recommend active surveillance, with regular monitoring to track any changes over time.

If treatment is needed, your care team will walk you through your options and help you choose an approach that balances effectiveness with your quality of life.

Treatment options may include:

  • Brachytherapy to target and destroy cancer cells
  • Cellular immune therapy (Sipuleucel-T) to help your immune system recognize and fight cancer cells
  • Chemotherapy to shrink or kill cancer cells
  • Hormone therapy to slow or stop cancer growth (often used alongside other treatments)
  • Prostatectomy to remove the prostate
  • Radiation therapy to target cancer cells or prevents them from growing.
  • Radionuclide therapy (Radium-223)to deliver targeted radiation to areas where cancer has spread
