Do you qualify for weight loss surgery? Let’s calculate your BMI.

Your body mass index (BMI) helps us determine if you’re eligible for bariatric surgery or other weight-loss options.

  • A BMI of 40 or higher may qualify you for bariatric surgery
  • A BMI of 35–39.9 may qualify if you have at least one serious health condition, such as diabetes or high blood pressure
  • A BMI of 30–34.9 with a qualifying condition may make you eligible for certain procedures, such as the LAP-BAND® system
  • A BMI of 30–40 may qualify you for a non-surgical option, such as an intragastric balloon.

Your care team will review your health history and help you understand which options are right for you.
