Beware of recent phishing attempts targeting patients teammates

We’ve received multiple reports of phishing calls targeting both patients and physician practices.

These callers may impersonate our staff or third-party healthcare entities, attempting to collect private information. We have also seen an uptick in faxes from fraudulent “pharmacies” requesting information from our teammates and medical staff.

What you need to know:

Be vigilant when receiving calls, emails, faxes and even text messages, especially those requesting patient, financial or system access details.

Remember that Roper St. Francis Healthcare and those representing us will never request sensitive information by phone without verification.
