Standard visiting hours are from 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. Specific departments may have different visitor requirements:

• ICU – visitors are required to check in at the nurses’ station to ensure their loved ones are able to receive visitors

Our hospital space is made up of 85 beds, including:

• 12 treatment spaces available for any emergency in our ER
• Helipad/helicopter and ground transfer
• 2 medical/surgical units with 32 private rooms each
• 6 operating rooms
• 2 endoscopy rooms
• 13 post-anesthesia care units (PACUs)
• 22 pre- and post – operative care beds
• 10 private ICU rooms
• A private ICU waiting area

We also have full service imaging, an on-site lab, and surgical services which include robotic surgery.

We provide outpatient cardiac rehab for heart and vascular patients in need of extra support working through a condition or with recovery after surgery. Physical and occupational therapy  are also offered in an outpatient setting, allowing you to get in, out and back to your life as quickly as possible.

We’ve been recognized for excellence and compassion in nursing care by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. In 2026 we officially earned a Magnet with Distinction designation for our nursing program. 

Mount Pleasant Hospital first earned a Pathway to Excellence® designation in 2014, followed by redesignations in 2017 and 2021. In 2026, the hospital not only met Magnet recognition standards, but exceeded the requirements, earning Magnet with Distinction and 15 exemplars related to its geriatric-friendly emergency department, nurse engagement scores, quality outcomes and patient experience. 

We provide 2-D and 3-D mammography, breast ultrasound and bone density testing at our Medical Office Building.

Mount Pleasant Hospital has a café as well as vending machines for quick snacking.

Palm Court Café 
6:30 – 10 a.m. - Hot breakfast and Starbucks coffee shop 
10 - 11 a.m. - Continental breakfast and coffee shop  
11 a.m. - 2 p.m. - Hot lunch, grill, salad bar and coffee shop 
2 - 7 p.m. - Grill, and grab and go 
Café is closed for the evening at 7:00 p.m., weekend hours and options vary.

Our chapel on the first floor is open 24 hours a day for prayer and meditation. Special prayer gatherings and worship services, usually led by the hospital chaplain, are held in the chapel at various times throughout the week.

For Roman Catholics, Eucharistic ministers regularly bring communion to patients who have indicated that they are Catholic upon admission to the hospital.

For Jewish patients, Sabbath candles are available upon request.
