We’re on a mission
We live our mission of healing all people with compassion, faith, and excellence. As a not-for-profit healthcare system, Roper St. Francis Healthcare prioritizes purpose over profit by reinvesting in our organization to meet the health needs of the communities we serve. Each year, we provide millions of dollars in charitable services, patient financial assistance, and community-based programs, supported by the incredible dedication and volunteerism of our teammates.
We’re vibrant and growing
Roper St. Francis Healthcare features four flagship hospitals: Roper Hospital, Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital, Roper St. Francis Mount Pleasant Hospital, and Roper St. Francis Berkeley Hospital. In an emergency, we offer six strategically placed emergency departments. With nearly 7,000 teammates, we are the Lowcountry’s largest private employer, partnering with more than 1,000 doctors representing almost every medical specialty. Our system includes nearly 700 beds across more than 120 facilities and services spanning four counties.
We’re a healthcare leader
At Roper St. Francis Healthcare, our Heart & Vascular Center performs the most adult cardiac surgeries in the region, and we treat more of the area’s most commonly diagnosed adult cancers than any other provider. We are recognized for performing the most joint replacement surgeries in the state, and our Magnet and Pathway to Excellence designated hospitals highlight our commitment to nursing excellence. Consistently earning top national awards, we take pride in delivering exceptional care while fostering satisfaction among patients, employees, and doctors.
