What is considered a non-healing wound?

If your wound doesn’t heal within 30 days, we consider it a non-healing (chronic) wound. We treat all kinds of complex, non-healing wounds, including: Diabetic foot ulcers Wounds associated with radiation therapy Surgical incisions Wounds caused by poor circulation and vascular diseases Pressure injuries Traumatic wounds Burns

What should I expect?

Before starting treatment, we’ll sit down with you for a thorough evaluation to learn more about your health history. In some cases, we may also ask you to undergo tests before starting treatment, such as diagnostic imaging or vascular testing.

What should I expect when I visit?

Most patients who need wound care will visit us once a week for treatment, where we’ll answer any questions and show you how to care for your wound at home.

What other resources can I access?

Our team will talk with you about every aspect of your health, supporting you with everything from diabetes management to healthy eating and exercise. We can also coordinate referrals for diabetes education if needed.

Our specialized Amputation Prevention Program is the only multidisciplinary limb preservation program in the region focused on healing complex wounds and preventing limb loss. Our care is centered around early detection and care for wounds, infections or circulation issues to prevent the need for amputation.
