When your child needs emergency care, you want to go somewhere close by with care you can trust. At Roper St. Francis Healthcare, two of our hospitals provide pediatric-ready certified emergency rooms – Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital and Berkeley Hospital. And if your child needs extra care, our Children’s Unit through Roper St. Francis Healthcare and MUSC Children’s Health is ready to provide additional in-hospital care for kids after an emergency.
Our children’s services are focused on medical treatment for illness, injury or surgical recovery. You can walk-in without an appointment to receive care at any of our emergency rooms (ER’s), but a doctor’s referral is required for admission to the Children’s Unit. The services we provide at the Children’s Unit at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital help reduce the need for transfers and provide continuous care that keeps children and their parents together.
