Get in sooner with MyChart’s Waitlist Feature

Sometimes the next available appointment feels too far away, and you'd love to be seen sooner if a spot opens up. With MyChart's convenient Waitlist feature, now you can! Adding your name to a waitlist is a simple way to get notified if an earlier appointment becomes available, saving you time and potentially helping you get the care you need sooner. Here’s a quick, step-by-step guide to help you make the most of this feature.

How to join the Waitlist

1. During Scheduling - When you’re scheduling an appointment, look for the “Add to Waitlist” option. Selecting this will place you on a waitlist, and MyChart will notify you if any earlier appointments open up. If you’re not scheduling online, ask a teammate to get you on the waitlist.

2. After Scheduling - Already have an appointment but hoping for an earlier time? No problem! You can add yourself to the waitlist by heading to the appointment confirmation page. Simply find the “Add to Waitlist” button, and you’ll be in line for any available openings.

3. On the Appointment Details Page - If you decide later on that you'd like a sooner appointment, open the appointment details for your upcoming visit. Look for the “Add to Waitlist” option there and select it.

Removing yourself from the Waitlist

If your plans change and you no longer want to receive notifications about an earlier time, you can easily remove yourself from the waitlist. Just go back to the appointment details and click “Remove from Waitlist.” This way, MyChart will know you’re sticking with your original appointment. Pro tip: Check your communication preferences in MyChart to ensure you’re set up to receive notifications through text or email.
