Your time matters. Whether you're coming in for a quick test or a scheduled procedure, you deserve a visit that starts smoothly. Now checking in can be as simple as a few taps on your phone.

Roper St. Francis Healthcare offers Hello Patient at select hospital outpatient departments. It's a MyChart feature that helps you check in for your appointment from your phone.

How it works

When you arrive, MyChart can recognize that you're here and guide you through any check-in steps that are left. If everything is already done, you may move through arrival faster. If we still need something from you, MyChart will tell you what to do next.

Set up your phone before your visit

Download or open the MyChart app on your smartphone.
Turn on notifications so you get arrival prompts.
Allow location services for MyChart if you'd like it to recognize when you arrive.
When you get here, follow the steps in MyChart to confirm you've arrived.

What stays the same

Your safety still comes first. Depending on your appointment, you may still need to stop at the registration desk. That's where we confirm your identity and give you a wristband if your visit requires one. We may also need to finish forms or payment with you.

Have more than one appointment at the same location? Hello Patient may only check you in for one of them. Just stop by the desk and our team will take care of the rest.
