Style guide, logo and photo usage

Please use the terminology below to properly refer to the Roper St. Francis Healthcare brand and its entities. We also provide logo usage guidelines and a few photos below for media usage. For more information, please contact the Corporate Communications Department.

Naming conventions

Please use the following naming conventions when referring to Roper St. Francis Healthcare, our locations and affiliates.

Roper St. Francis Healthcare is the proper name for the healthcare system that encompasses all of the facilities below.

Roper Hospital is the proper name for the 332-bed acute-care hospital located in downtown Charleston.

Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital is the proper name for the 190-bed acute-care hospital located in West Ashley.

Roper Rehabilitation Hospital is the proper name for the 66-bed inpatient adult rehabilitation facility located on the third and eighth floors of Roper Hospital.

Roper St. Francis Mount Pleasant Hospital is the proper name for the 85-bed acute-care hospital in Mount Pleasant.

Roper St. Francis Berkeley Hospital is the proper name for the 100-bed acute-care hospital near Summerville at Carnes Crossroads.

Moncks Corner Medical Plaza is the building in Moncks Corner which houses an emergency department, ambulatory surgery center, sleep lab, diagnostics, lab and rehabilitation services.

Roper Hospital Diagnostics & ER – Northwoods is the proper name for the emergency department, diagnostic and lab center located in North Charleston.

Roper Hospital Ambulatory Surgery & Pain Management – James Island is the proper name for the surgery and pain management center on James Island.

Roper St. Francis Cancer Center is the building name for the cancer facility on the campus of Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital in West Ashley.

Roper St. Francis Healthcare Health Pavilion at Sawmill Centre is the proper name for the building near downtown Summerville that houses an emergency department, lab, imaging suite and other services.

Roper St. Francis Physician Partners is the proper name for the comprehensive network of more than 400 providers that covers a complete range of primary care and 20 subspecialties.

Use of our logo

Consistent and accurate use of our logo reinforces awareness of our brand and ensures the legal protection of our identity. To help avoid misuse, follow these guidelines and standards and use only approved logo files:

  • Do not create a custom logo for specific purposes.
  • Do not alter the logo in any way by changing or adding elements, or only using portions of it.
  • Never change the logo’s color or orientation.
  • Do not delete the Circle of Care from the logo.
  • Do not redraw the logo in any way.
  • Do not change the font.
  • Do not delete or substitute the word “Healthcare.”
  • Do not change scale, skew or rotate any logo.
  • Do not change the design of any logo.
  • Do not change or vary the colors of any logo.
  • Do not combine the logo or Circle of Care/icon with any other design, graphic, text or other element.
  • Do not substitute a letter in a word with the Circle of Care.
  • Do not horizontally or vertically distort the logo.
  • Do not change the scale of the circle of care.
  • Do not change the arrangement of the preferred logo lockup.
  • Do not change the color of the symbol or name.
  • Do not outline the symbol or name.
  • Do not violate the clear space or place the logo within a shape.
  • Do not apply a drop shadow.
