Our CME activities are designed to support our mission of healing all people with compassion, faith, and excellence. We provide educational opportunities for physicians and other allied healthcare professionals to help them grow their knowledge, strengthen their skills and build meaningful professional relationships. Our ultimate goal: to help our providers bring better care to our patients and community.

Course information, accreditation & policies

Our CME programs are designed to improve performance, increase competence and provide improved patient outcomes. We use an interdisciplinary approach involving physicians and other allied health professionals.

Roper St. Francis Healthcare is accredited by the Medical Association of Georgia to provide Continuing Medical Education for physicians.

Roper St. Francis Healthcare offers a variety of CME programs including: 

  • Regularly scheduled series and conferences
  • Live and jointly sponsored courses
  • Enduring and internet learning that is evidence-based, scientifically sound and free from commercial bias
  • Updated information on common and/or evolving medical professional development

Roper St. Francis Healthcare participates in the voluntary accreditation program of the Accreditation Council on Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the Medical Association of Georgia (MAG) CME committee. We strive to plan and implement educational activities in accordance with the essentials and guidelines set down by these organizations. CME accreditation by the MAG assures physicians and the public that we meet the high standards of continuing medical education.

As a continuing medical education provider, accredited by the Medical Association of Georgia, it is the policy of Roper St. Francis Healthcare to require all individuals in a position to influence educational content and development of a continuing medical education activity to disclose all relationships with commercial interests. This information is disclosed to all activity participants.

Nursing pathways

The Nurse Residency Program at Roper St. Francis Healthcare is a nine-month program that supports a newly licensed RN's transition from student to professional nurse. The program is focused on leadership, quality, safety and professional development.
