Your rehabilitation team

Our nurses manage your daily care and medications and monitor your overall health. They also assess your bowel and bladder functions, provide wound care if needed, collaborate with your care team and provide education to you and your family to promote a safe recovery. 

Patient care technicians (PCTs), assist nurses with your treatment and help ensure you have smooth day-to-day care. They will do things like check your vitals, help get you ready in the morning, keep your room clean and help you to and from bed or bathroom as needed.

Physical therapists and physical therapy assistants provide personalized functional and exercise-based programs. They help you regain strength, improve your mobility and build up your balance and endurance. They can also evaluate your need for equipment such as wheelchairs and walkers and teach you and your family or caregiver how best to help you at home.

Our occupational therapy team includes occupational therapists and certified occupational therapy assistants. They help you relearn activities of daily living. These include bathing, grooming and dressing. The goal is to make it easier for you to return to usual activities or learn new ways to adapt to your everyday life. 

Speech therapists, also known as speech-language pathologists, help with communication and understanding what others say. Speech therapy also helps you with swallowing difficulties, as well as issues related to memory, problem-solving and attention. 

Recreational therapists use leisure and other meaningful activities to support your well-being and community re-engagement. They may take you on community outings, provide treatment services and guide recreation activities that can help you heal mentally and physically.

Social worker/Case managers help with insurance coordination, connect you to community resources and assist with discharge planning and equipment. 

Psychologists provide counseling and education for you and your family. They can also help with any challenges related to adjustment, thinking, memory, mood or behavior.

Rehabilitation Technicians or Treatment assistants help provide your therapist with an extra set of hands when needed.

Registered dietitians design nutrition programs to optimize your healing and recovery.
