Adjusting to life after a stroke can be challenging, but the support of those who are going through similar experiences can be helpful. Come learn tips, find resources and share concerns with other stroke survivors. Open to stroke survivors, caregivers and loved ones.
Young Stroke Survivors Group (age 45 and under)
The number of young people (under age 45) who have suffered a stroke has doubled in the last decade, and their concerns/needs are often different from older people. This group addresses the unique challenges faced by young stroke survivors and their families. These meetings alternate between “get-together” meetings at area restaurants and “learning” meetings at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital in West Ashley.
