Our program

At Roper St. Francis Cancer Care, our board-certified music therapist uses live music to help you with:

  • reducing anxiety
  • managing pain
  • lowering your blood pressure
  • reduce muscle tension
  • provide comfort
  • Living Wills

Music can be used for self-care outside of the medical setting as well.

Here are some suggestions for using music in your daily routine.

  • Before choosing what music to listen to take a moment to see how you are feeling physically, emotionally and spiritually
  • Think about what you hope to achieve while listening to music or playing music with your instrument
  • Choose music that coincides with your specific goal(s)
