Where to go for care at Roper St. Francis Healthcare
As we begin to resume more services across Roper St. Francis Healthcare, we want to highlight which locations are open and where patients should go for care.
We want to reassure you that our care teams are taking extra precautions to ensure your safety, as well as the safety of our team.
Emergency departments in Roper St. Francis Healthcare’s four hospitals – Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital, Roper Hospital, Roper St. Francis Berkeley Hospital and Roper St. Francis Mount Pleasant Hospital – as well as its two standalone emergency departments – Roper Hospital Diagnostics and ER-Northwoods and Moncks Corner Medical Plaza – are open around the clock seven days each week. Patients experiencing chest pain, sudden blurred vision, facial drooping, arm weakness, speech difficulty, loss of balance/coordination or severe abdominal pain should immediately seek treatment at their nearest emergency room.
Roper St. Francis Express Care is available in two locations – 319 Folly Road on James Island and 8901 University Boulevard in North Charleston. Our locations at 4278 Ladson Road and 1114 North Main Street in Summerville are virtual visit centers.
All Roper St. Francis Physician Partners practices are offering virtual visits for scheduled patients whose clinical needs can be met remotely. Physicians are able to virtually see patients, conduct a clinical review and prescribe medications as needed. For those who need to make an in-person visit, our physicians’ offices have new guidelines to keep patients and our care team safe.
We are doing COVID-19 testing at our drive-thru site at 5133 Rivers Ave. in North Charleston. Patients with a testing order can use this service. Roper St. Francis Healthcare is offering free virtual care consultations and screenings to anyone experiencing COVID-19 symptoms in the Lowcountry. New and existing patients who have fever, coughing and shortness of breath can speak with a Roper St. Francis Express Care provider between 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. any day of the week at no charge. Patients should use the promo code COVID19. Virtual visits outside of this timeframe will be charged the standard flat rate of $59.
