Tuesday, May 26, 2020 - Home Health ranks among top 20 percent nationally for patient satisfaction

Roper St. Francis Healthcare Home Health has been recognized for superior performance based on patients' feedback on the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS).

For its achievement, Roper St. Francis Healthcare received the Superior Performer award from Strategic Healthcare Program (SHP). The award acknowledges home health agencies that consistently provide high quality service to their patients. With the largest Home Health CAHPS benchmark in the nation, SHP identifies and recognizes organizations that have made patient satisfaction a priority evidenced by high scores on HHCAHPS. In addition, all SHP award recipients must have scored better than or equal to the national average.

Roper St. Francis Healthcare was compared against roughly 5,000 home health agencies nationwide and scored in the top 20 percent. This is its first full year with SHP; previously, Roper St. Francis Healthcare used a different vendor for Home Health.

The results are publicly reported to promote transparency of quality care provided by home health agencies on areas that are important to consumers.

“We want to thank our teammates for the excellent care they provide to our patients and families,” said Bonnie Mello, director of home health for Roper St. Francis Healthcare. “We are appreciative that our patients/families have rated our care at a level that elevates our organization to the top 20 percent nationally.”
