Cardiac Care at Roper Hospital earns Distinction Center+ designation
Roper Hospital has earned a special designation from BlueCross BlueShield for the quality and efficiency of its cardiac care.
The hospital was one of only two in South Carolina to be named a Blue Distinction Center+ for cardiac care, which is a recognition of its expertise and efficiency in the delivery of that care.
The Blue Distinction Specialty Care program recognizes healthcare providers that provide exceptional care and results. Blue Distinction Centers and Blue Distinction Centers+ for Cardiac Care provide a full range of inpatient cardiac care services, including coronary artery bypass graft surgery, heart valve surgery and angioplasty (percutaneous coronary intervention).
“These Centers demonstrate better quality care and improved patient outcomes, including lower complication rates following certain cardiac procedures,” according to the program.
