Tuesday, October 23, 2018 - Roper St. Francis Healthcare offers free memory assessment screening - participating in leading national studies to fight Alzheimer’s disease

The Roper St. Francis Research and Innovation Center is offering free memory assessments as part of its ongoing work to battle Alzheimer’s disease. Currently, an estimated 100,000 South Carolinians are living with Alzheimer’s disease.

Today, former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor said doctors had diagnosed her with early-stage dementia and "probably Alzheimer's disease.” Justice O'Connor was the first woman to be appointed to the high court. She retired in 2006.

The Roper St. Francis Research and Innovation Center has a research team that gives patients access to cutting edge international research studies and treatment options in Charleston.

To schedule a free memory assessment, patients can call (843) 724-2302.
