What are the treatment options for Vascular Disease?

Our experts provide comprehensive care and patient education using the most advanced vascular medicine and techniques.

Carotid Endarterectomy

Carotid endarterectomy is a procedure used to remove plaque and clots from the carotid arteries, located in the neck.

Center for Limb Salvage

We are proud to offer patients suffering from peripheral vascular disease, chronic wounds and the more serious condition of critical limb ischemia, a comprehensive center dedicated to saving the limb.

Hyperbaric & Undersea Medicine

Patients undergoing hyperbaric treatment are placed in a chamber where 100% oxygen is circulated. The oxygen is pressurized so that air pressure may be 2-3 times greater than normal. This allows the lungs to absorb more concentrated oxygen, which then circulates via the blood.

Wound Care

Sometimes a wound needs help to heal. Conditions such as diabetes and vascular disease can limit a wound’s ability to get better. The Roper Hospital Wound Management Center brings multidisciplinary expertise to treating complicated wounds.
