He has served as president of the Society for Heart Valve Disease and the Association of University Cardiologists. He is the program director for the new valve program at Roper St. Francis Healthcare.

She is highly devoted to being a patient advocate and ensuring that moving through the healthcare system is smooth and effortless.

Melissa Tecosky, RN, PCCN-K, earned her undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston and her nursing degree from Trident Technical College. Melissa practiced as a cardiac bedside nurse for 10 years before shifting into her role as the Afib Coordinator. She has continued to grow the left atrial appendage closure program (Watchman), launched the Convergent hybrid ablation procedure and has critical involvement in the Catalyst clinical trial. Melissa is dedicated to creating a positive experience for patients and providers.
