Our therapists are dedicated to helping you achieve your highest level of recovery and independence. All of our therapies, except massage, require a doctor’s referral and are available in an inpatient and outpatient setting.

Our therapists treat patients with neurologic, orthopedic or debilitating conditions. We also provide prosthetic training for amputees, wound care, ultraviolet light therapy and orthotic fabrication.
Our occupational therapists provide therapy for stroke, head injury, arthritis, upper extremity fractures, carpal tunnel, amputations, tendon rupture/lacerations, tendonitis/bursitis, rotator cuff injuries and crush injuries. During individualized therapy our patients may also receive ADL re-training, wound care and splint fabrication.
Our speech therapists treat patients with communicative, hearing, cognitive or swallowing disorders such as dysphagia, aphasia, cognition deficits associated with a stroke, traumatic brain injury, craniotomies, dysarthria and laryngectomy. Our speech therapists also work with other neurological diseases such as Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis (MS) and head and neck cancers.
Patients with conditions that are too painful to participate in traditional physical therapy may be candidates for aquatic therapy (pool therapy). Aquatic therapy is an exercise program that is performed in the heated in ground pool located inside St. Francis Hospital.
