Roper St. Francis offering free breast and colon cancer screenings

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Roper St. Francis is offering free breast cancer and colon cancer Screenings on Tuesday, October 24th.

This is part of of the Bon Secours Mission Grant and the Hank and Laurel Greer Colorectal Cancer Program.

Roper St. Francis believes everyone should have access to cancer screenings.

To participate in the the breast cancer screenings you must be 18-years-old or older. Also, Your last breast exam should have been over a year ago.

To participate in the colon cancer screening you must be 50-years-old or older. If you are African American, that age lowers to 45. You can also participate if you are at least 10 years younger than an immediate relative with colorectal cancer.

The screenings will take place at the Roper St. Francis Cancer Center on the campus of Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital. (2085 Henry Tecklenburg Drive Charleston S.C. 29414)

The screenings will run from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
