People in and around Summerville will have a new health care option starting Monday.

The first of five urgent care centers formerly known as "Nason" will reopen on Ladson Road under a new name.

Roper Saint Francis plans to open four more locations.

Two of those will be in North Charleston, with one in Mount Pleasant and another on James Island,

Three of those five centers will be express care buildings.

Each of these five Nason Medical Centers closed with little warning late last year.

Federal investigators accused the "doc in a box" provider with fraud.

Court records showed the Nason Medical Group owed TD Bank $15 million in mortgage loans.

Officials say patients can now access these express care centers in the evenings and on weekends for the same co-pay price as a visit to a primary care physician.
