Wednesday, May 04, 2016 - Roper St. Francis Health Alliance launches open enrollment for providers

The Roper St. Francis Health Alliance is a physician-led network of independent and employed physicians, ancillary service providers and healthcare facilities working together to improve care for Lowcountry patients. We now are accepting applications from providers who are interested in joining our network beginning Jan. 1, 2017.

The Roper St. Francis Health Alliance is the first clinically integrated network in the tri-county area. We are a strategic collaboration between Roper St. Francis and more than 600 employed and independent physicians along with numerous ancillary providers and healthcare facilities representing a comprehensive array of medical specialties and services. We are a subsidiary of Roper St. Francis governed by a Board of Directors. Participation in our network is voluntary and does not in itself create an employment relationship with Roper St. Francis.

We launched in 2014 and serve as the preferred healthcare partner for Boeing teammates, as well as Roper St. Francis teammates. In the coming years we plan to expand significantly by serving additional large employers, participating in health insurance exchange plans and also participating in governmental programs.

Our network’s goal is to achieve the Triple Aim: improve the patient’s experience of care; improve the health of populations; and reduce the per capita cost of care. We’re doing that by trying to address our patients’ needs before they require a trip to the emergency room.

Applications will be accepted May 2 through Jun. 10, 2016. To submit an application, click here.

The physician-led Professional Standards and Credentialing Committee will review applications and make recommendations to the Board of Directors based primarily on the network's geographic coverage as well as specialty and patient access needs. The Board of Directors is expected to vote on committee recommendations in August 2016.
