Three medical providers (two doctors and one AIDS-certified nurse practitioner) see patients each week providing clinical services Monday through Thursday. They are supported by two nurses who have specialized in HIV care for more than 20 years.
Case managers can assist in accessing the medications patients need to stay healthy. They help find affordable HIV and non-HIV medications through state programs and private foundations. Medications can be easily and discretely shipped to your home.
The program provides comprehensive dental care to include preventive work and restorative care.
Patients have access to comprehensive mental health counseling, support groups and/or mental health medications. Friends and family are also welcome to attend the support groups.
Our staff chaplain is available to all who would like to receive spiritual or support services. These services are not affiliated with any specific faith or religion, but focus instead on spirituality and spiritual wellness.
Substance Abuse Treatment
If you struggle with substance abuse, we can help. The program can help you access many inpatient and outpatient substance abuse programs.
Insurance Continuation Services
If you have private insurance, you may qualify for assistance with your insurance co-payments or premium payments.
Clinical Case Management
Our qualified and experienced case managers are here to help you with your HIV care. Our team will partner with you to identify and access the services available to you as a person living with HIV.
Free HIV Testing
You can receive your results in 20 minutes. Our oral swab uses no blood and no needles. Tests are confidential and free of charge and are often available without an appointment.
With support from the City of Charleston's Housing for People with AIDS (HOPWA) Program, assistance with mortgage/rent and utilities is provided for those that qualify. Not all Ryan White Wellness Center patients are eligible for this program.
