We need your support for the creation of a new, full-service hospital to serve the growing healthcare needs of your community. Currently Berkeley County is one of only five counties in the state without a hospital. Roper St. Francis looks forward to bringing this much needed hospital to the people of Berkeley County in the next 4 years. However, Trident Health System, with similar plans to build a hospital in Berkeley County, has appealed DHEC’s decision that Berkeley can support and needs two hospitals. This litigation process could delay the opening of any Berkeley hospital for up to 10 years. Roper St. Francis agrees with DHEC and believes your community needs a hospital sooner than later.
