Breast Health Navigator Program

Roper St. Francis Cancer Center is the only center in the area to offer the services of a Breast Nurse Navigator to help patients and families navigate the complexities of cancer treatment. Our specialty trained, oncology- and breast care-certified registered nurse is available to any breast cancer patient, whether newly-diagnosed, in treatment, or dealing with recurrence or end-stage disease.

The Breast Nurse Navigator serves as a consistent and knowledgeable clinical resource throughout the treatment continuum. She identifies the ongoing learning needs of patients and families and ensures that these needs are met. She serves as a link between healthcare providers and treatment settings (surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, inpatient, outpatient, physician’s office, and connects patients and families to resources for disease management or treatment-related problems.
